Steel Palisade Fencing Installation
Steel Palisade Fencing installation 2.4m high, finished in RAL 5002 Ultramarine Blue. This was supplied and installed by us, for one of the many jobs we have carried out for Safestore. This was installed at their new Chiswick branch, ‘Cranked’ over a low dwarf wall. This helped increase security for the Safestore site and Neighbouring Porsche garage
Safestore take security of their sites very seriously, and a good secure boundary is key to this. This was a new build site, so we was brought to make the new front of store fully secure. After an initial consultation and a site inspection, we agreed that we would crank the posts over the top of the dwarf wall. On some occasions, we would fix the posts to the wall. But on this occasion, we dug the posts in behind the wall and concreted into the ground at a depth of 900mm.
We use a high quality Specification Steel Palisade fencing, available in numerous heights. We have carried out Steel Palisade fencing installation at various sites throughout the UK, including 1.8m, 2.0m, 2.4m and 3.0m high. These are also available in numerous colours. Ont his occasion, we installed 2.4m high, pre galvanised steel and then powder coated to RAL 5002 Ultramarine Blue. This is always the colour of choice for Safestore
Steel Palisade Fencing Installation- Specification
As with most products with in the commercial and residential sectors if fencing, there are low and high specification available. We always install to the higher of specification, and our steel Palisade fencing installs are no different. This setup features 100mm x 54mm I beam posts 6mm thick, with 6mm 90 degree rails. The pales are 2mm ‘W’ formed steel with triple point tops
Steel Palisade Fencing Installation process
First of all we had to check the boundary was safe for us to dig and ensure there was no drains or pipes. Then we marked out our holes, and dug to a depth of 750mm. We then positioned the I beam posts in the hole, with both the top and bottom rails fixed into place. We then checked that the were posts cranked perfectly over the top of the wall. The I Beam posts where then concreted into the ground with a 300mm circumference footing against the wall. We then fixed on the vertical pales and snapped off all the shear bolts. This means that no fixing can be undone, once in place
